Hi all Sarranuva here and I’m back again with another guide.
We all know that we spend far too many hours playing World of Warcraft and when we are asked we often will lie and say – “oh, not as much as you would think” to people who don’t play the game.
In today’s guide I’m going to give you the ability to find the answer to the question many World of Warcraft players want to know but are often too scared to ask! How many hours have I spent playing World of Warcraft across all of my characters!
The hardest way to do this is to log onto each character, type “/played” and make a note of the Years, Months, Days, Hours and Minutes and tot them all up – and when you have multiple alts that is NOT the best use of your time.
So to make this process a lot easier, you will need to read aguide I did back in October 2023 on the most powerful character management World of Warcraft website around – WoWThing!
When you’ve got that setup and ready, you need to configure the Home screen on WoWthing to show you some additional columns that are missing – the most important for this is of course “Played”.
It’s really straight forward:
- Click Home
- Click the Cog next to Default
- Here you can edit the Homepage or you can create a view that has a certain filter of players. For example raiding characters) or Crafters, or even just Tailors. To do give it a new view name and follow the tooltip for filtering.
- For simplicity I’m just going to edit the homepage, so you need to go down to the Home Columns on the right handside, scroll down to Played Time and drag it over.
- You can also use this opportunity to add some of The War Within data here too such as Profession Concentration, Cooldowns etc as well as Vault slot statuses too.
- Once you’ve selected what you want, then go back to the Homepage for the answer to the question you are too scared to ask – How many days have I spent playing World of Warcraft!
