Hi all, Sarranuva here, and I’m back again with another video!

Now there are many, many ways of making gold that I’ve covered on my channel, but one of the ones I’ve not covered in-depth is Battle Pets.  I mean, come on if you’re aware of Vahdis, then is there any point in speaking about battle pets?

Well, let’s imagine you’re not a gold-selling God like Vahdis and you need to know how to turn your pet collection into a gold-making machine, then this video is for you.

In this video I want to cover:

  • An overview of Battle Pets
  • The Ultimate TSM Battle Pet Groups
  • Identify which Battle Pets to flip.
  • Battle Pet Addons and Macros to easily sell your collection
  • How to level up your Battle Pets with Command Tables

Before we get into the ins and outs of how to make some extra gold through pet selling, can I ask you to please like this video and subscribe to the channel using the buttons below, please?  Every sub helps.

Battle Pet Quality Overview

If you’re unfamiliar with Battle Pets in WoW, then let me give you a quick run-down.  Pets carry a level through experience from level 1 to level 25.  They also come in four qualities similar to items:

  • Grey (Poor)
  • White (Common)
  • Green (Uncommon)
  • Blue (Rare)

A level 25 Rare quality pet is way more valuable than a level 1 Poor quality pet so bear this in mind when listing your pets otherwise you will lose thousands of gold!

Additionally, the reason people suggest Battle Pets for gold making is that they are not server locked.  Even after the latest update that saw materials and consumables become regionwide, Battle Pets were left out of the latest update but you can still create a character on any server and cage your Battle Pet there and sell it.

TSM Strings

If you’re a TSM user, then it’s very important to list your pets separately

To help you out, I’ve created a comprehensive group of Battle Pets split by quality and level as well as by Type.  This not only allows you to quickly dominate a “meta” Type of pet with quick cancel/repost scans, but it’s also just much more organised.  If you’re unfamiliar with cancel scanning, then take a look at my previous video.

If you’re ready to get a list of pets, then I’ve put a link below to the Paste Bins so you can import these:

Become a Magpie

Now, unless you’re a fan of football – or soccer as the Americans call it, you might not know that I am a Geordie and thusly a Newcastle United Fan – and our “mascot” is the Magpie.

And this is why I am more than thrilled that one of my favourite tools is named after the magpie.  The team over at Wow PetGuide has created one of the best comparison tools for battle pet valuation, Pet Magpie.  A link to the tool is in the description below.

This tool can single-handedly value your pet collection and tell you what gold-making opportunities you have.

Using this tool you can get a better understanding of the true value of your current battle pet collection. It can also give you a quick view of gaps in the market or where battle pets are in low supply so that you can go away and create a hit list of collectable battle pets to go and farm.

Once you’ve done this, you will hopefully have a list of battle pets that you can sell.  But how can we make this easier?

Battle Pet Addons

There are several add-ons that you can use for pet battling if you actually want to play the battles.  However, if you are looking to simply collect to sell/flip, then you will need to install only one:

Rematch

This add-on (https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/rematch) is not only a great tool for creating teams of Battle Pets in preparation for fighting trainers and battle pets, but it is also a godsend when it comes to organising your battle pets.

The reason I love Rematch is that it can do three things:

  • Filter your Battle Pets by level, rarity etc.
  • Allows you to filter by whether a Battle Pet can be caged or not.
  • Finally, it allows you to highlight any Battle Pets you have 2 or more copies of – Ideal if you want to offload any spare Battle Pets!

If you couple this with the following Macro, you can simply cage your desired Battle Pet with a press of a button as well.

/run C_PetJournal.CagePetByID(GetMouseFocus().petID)

Whilst I did mention that you only needed one addon, there is an additional addon that can be tied in with Rematch and that is called Rematch_TSMPetValues (https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/rematch_tsmpetvalues).

This allows you to show TSM data directly in Rematch using two price sources to help you better understand which pets are profitable or not.  Ideally, you would want Price Source one to be DBMinBuyout for your servers MinBuyout and the 2nd Price Source to be DBREgionMarketAvg to give you a better understanding as to whether your Battle Pet is expensive on the server or not.  There’s even an option to do 1st Price Source minus the 2nd Price Source to show you true profit based on the last scan data.  This is a great alternative to Pet Magpie but can be delayed by old data etc.  As always, checking the AH is the only true way of determining whether your battle pet is profitable or not.

Levelling Battle Pets with Command Tables

Now, you might have some outstanding pets that aren’t up to par. Well, there’s a way to skip levelling Battle Pets with Trainer Stones.  To purchase these you need Pet Charms and an added benefit of the Command Tables in Shadowlands is that these flow freely from them – around 25 per mission reward.

I won’t go into how to maximise Command tables here, but I recommend this video by Zanzarful – especially if you have a tonne of ALTs sitting there doing nothing.

If you head to the Battle Pet Trainer on Oribos, Keeper Ta’hult, then you can exchange Polished Pet Charms for two of the main items you will need to max out your battle pets:

  • 60 x Polished Pet Charms will get you an “Ultimate Battle-Training Stone” which maximizes a pets level to 25.
  • 15 x Polished Pet Charms  will get you a “Marked Flawless Battle Stone” which changes the quality of your pet to Rare.

And that’s it, a video that will hopefully help you take your existing pet collection and turn it into gold!

Please let me know if I missed anything in the comment section below.  Hopefully, you found this useful and if you did, please don’t forget to like the video and subscribe to the channel!  Hit the notification bell if you don’t want to miss out on any upcoming videos as well.
